Vacationing in San Diego

When it comes to holidaying with style, there’s no better place to head to than San Diego. While this exciting city tends to be known for not much more than its zoo – albeit it is a very good zoo – San Diego actually has a lot more to offer than what you might think. In fact, San Diego Zoo isn’t even its most attractive feature to many tourists, and when you arrive in this incredibly locale and spot the kind of beaches you’re going to be spending the next few days on, you’ll understand!

Within the city you’ll find Balboa Park, which is home to El Prado, a beautiful boulevard that contains a wide selection of cultural attractions, mainly inspired by the city’s powerful Spanish influence. Along El Prado, tourists will discover incredible examples of both Euro Spanish and Latin American architecture, with a focus on continental Spain and colonial styles.

If you’re intrigued by the Spanish influence in San Diego, there are plenty more attractions to look at, such as the Mission San Diego de Alcala, a key historical site, and the beautiful Old Town San Diego State Historic Park, both of which are well worth visiting if you’re into Spanish culture and its influence on American cities.

Animal lovers will enjoy not only the world-famous San Diego Zoo, but other animal-themed attractions such as the excellent SeaWorld that is located in the city, as well as the memorable San Diego Wild Animal Park, which invites guests to take in a broad range of amazing animals and traverse through a park that is as educational as it is entertaining. These attractions are a great stop off for people of all ages, allowing you to look into the life of animals that you may not usually get to see up close and personal.

San Diego is also perfectly positioned to have a thriving cruise industry, and it’s not uncommon for tourists to hop aboard an impressive cruise ship for a few days in order to make the most of the location and the weather, though if you’re not used to being out at sea then you may not want to go for much longer than a few days! Once you get back on dry land, you’ll be able to continue making the most of all of the delights and fun that San Diego has to offer from the comfort of one of the welcoming – and unmoving – San Diego hotels.
